Brad Byrd and Marley
Nationally recognized, alternative rock singer/songwriter Brad Byrd returned from Los Angeles, CA to his roots in the Cape Ann, MA area during the summer of 2005. Brad's plan to expand his presence in the Northeast and continue to independently promote and distribute his music has been both challenging and rewarding.
Brad's musical talents have landed him opening slots for nationally known touring acts such as Reel Big Fish (spring 2008) and Jurassic 5 (spring 2004), as well as recording and touring with fellow musicians and producers that have worked with the likes of Pete Yorn, Duncan Sheik, Howie Day, and the Wallflowers to name just a few.
Brad's critically acclaimed debut album "The Ever Changing Picture" was released in 2005. Since then Brad has released a couple of self-distributed EPs and is currently producing, recording, and mixing his sophomore album in Boston, MA and Los Angeles, CA.
One of the cuts from the new album, entitled "Train Tracks," is being mixed by famed indie producer/engineer/mixer Bryan Cook, whose most recent credits include scoring the hit movie "Walk Hard" (The Dewey Cox Story) starring John C. Reilly.
Brad's music has been featured on various televison networks such as MTV, VH1, UPN, ESPN, and most recently E! Entertainment's new hit reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashian's."
Needless to say we are very excited to have him returning to the 29th Annual Rockport Acoustic Music Festival.
